Who We Are

LICENSED PROFESSIONALS

Bayview Real Estate Consultants, Inc. (“Bayview”) is a general contracting and construction management firm  established in 1998 by founder and current president, Mike Daly, and was incorporated by the State of New York the same year.  The unique nature of each construction project together with the ever-increasing demands of reduced time frames and more complex design phases, can expose clients to much greater levels of risk.  Bayview reduces this risk with their in-depth knowledge of the industry and by providing complete client services from base-building construction to interior fit-outs to major building infrastructure upgrades and  modernization programs.  Bayview aims to provide excellent service to its clients through ongoing communication from start to finish of a project, including providing first class workmanship and materials as well as answering all client questions and ensuring complete satisfaction.

Bayview was built on a foundation of knowledge gained by Mike in his studies in Ireland where he obtained a degree in Construction Techniques and Management, as well as his experience there as a Project Manager for several years before moving to New York where he was hired by New York City as Superintendent of Construction for Housing Preservation & Development (HPD).  He was subsequently hired as Director of Development for Jerome Associates, a Bronx-based property management company, for whom Mike bid on and secured projects worth approximately $40 million.

Mike is a firm believer in continuing education and has completed several site safety courses as well as all required Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) courses, and he encourages all Bayview employees to do the same.

Since its inception, Bayview has successfully completed over $50 million of public projects (including many “out of the ground” projects for NYC) as well as approximately $30 million in private development, a sampling of which can be seen on our Projects page below.

SOME OF OUR COMPLETED WORK

The National Track & Field Hall of Fame

Work was done in two phases in order to minimize obstruction to the rigorous track meet schedule at this famed museum, located in the Fort Washington Armory in Washington Heights, NYC.  This work included the interior renovation of several floors to integrate exhibit design and to make improvements upon existing facilities, including the main lobby, museum and state of the art auditorium. We worked closely with the client in order to manage their expectations and deliver the kind of results they desired.  At Bayview Real Estate Consultants Inc., our goal is to bring our client’s vision to life while working with them every step of the way.

Chelsea Residence

Common Ground was founded in 1990 to address a critical need for permanent supportive housing for New York City’s chronically homeless population.  It is now known as Breaking Ground, where everyone deserves a home.  Bayview managed the construction of 98,000 square feet of apartments and administration facilities for Common Ground Community Housing for the homeless, on West 24th Street, NYC.

Rockaway Institute for a Sustainable Environment (RISE)

10,000 square feet of gut rehabilitation of a large FDNY firehouse which was left abandoned by severe damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.  Since its rehab by Bayview, the building is now flood-proof and is used as a community center in Rockaway, New York, with a focus on environmental issues and ensuring safety against future natural disasters – as a result of this type of innovative design, it is also used as a training center and gathering space as designated by the New York State Governor’s Office. If you’re looking for a certified contractor to manage a really complex job, consider this project a testament to our abilities. We managed to deliver excellent results on schedule and under budget. We worked closely with the client to understand their needs and preferences, and the successful outcome speaks for itself.

St. Monica's Church

Various projects have been completed at this church on East 80th Street, NYC, including some indoor work on the church ceiling as well as outdoor work comprising of sidewalk pavement removal and reconstruction thereof to avoid water issues, along with thorough cleaning of the concrete steps outside the church followed by installation of new silicone and shrink-proof grouting throughout the steps.

Private Residence, Grove Street

Bayview completed the renovation of this 3-story residence in New York City's West Village, which involved meticulous underpinning for excavation of a sub-basement and new rear conservatory. This project involved a lot of compliance measures to make sure we followed industry standards adequately. Successfully completed on time and within budget, it’s a great example of delivering on our promise of quality work while ensuring absolute client satisfaction.

Chabad Lubavitch of the Upper East Side

20,000 square feet of new construction including a school, synagogue, mikvah baths and residential apartments located on East 77th Street in New York City's Upper East Side. The building is a 7-story over cellar structural steel frame. Adjacent buildings were underpinned, and extensive dewatering had to be undertaken due to the extremely high-water table. The building was outfitted with a fully automated HVAC system, lighting control, tele data and leak detection systems as well as a complicated fire alarm/smoke purge system, all of which systems are accessible and controllable from the web. This project involved a lot of compliance measures to make sure we followed industry standards adequately and completely.

WHAT OUR SATISFIED CLIENTS ARE SAYING

Please allow this....to serve as a hearty recommendation for Bayview Real Estate Consultants, who have worked closely with the Armory for the last 11+ years on a number of projects.

From the National Track & Field Hall of Fame (a beautiful installation tracing the history of the sport) to the Finish Line Café, Bayview has been a pleasure to work with and their work is a pleasure to work in.  Currently they are finishing an Archive Room for the Armory Foundation to house the valuable items of the sport.

I am so confident about the quality of the work done by Bayview, that when our largest sponsor, New Balance, came to me to ask for a recommendation to build a store for them, I immediately gave them Bayview's contact information.

The New Balance store is nearing completion and the executives were in yesterday with only praise on their lips.

Rita Finkel, Co-President & Director of Armory College Prep

I am pleased to provide this reference….for Bayview Real Estate Consultants.

Over the past two years, Bayview has done all of the construction and renovation for our new home – the Rockaway Institute for a Sustainable Environment (RISE).  This center will serve as the first community center of its kind in New York City and the Rockaways, with a focus on environmental issues.

Throughout this construction process, Bayview has worked closely with us to make this building resilient to future natural disasters and as a result, this building has been designated by the NY State Governors Office of Storm Recovery to use as a gathering space for emergency trainings.

The work done by Bayview has been well executed and will make our community proud to have a space that has been designed and renovated with such care.  We are very satisfied with their work and look forward to having them work with us on more construction projects in the future.

Jeanne DuPont, Executive Director, RISE Rockaway Initiative for Sustainability & Equity (formerly Rockaway Waterfront Alliance)
